A new musical by
Grant Tilly & Jocelyn Hoover
Susan is elated to find herself on a "dream date" - a nice guy, at a nice restaurant, and the nerve to finally pursue love again for the first time in years! But as the interruptions to her perfect night become increasingly bizarre, Susan is forced to confront her reality and admit that maybe her life isn't going quite as well as she'd like to pretend...
Unfolding almost entirely within her own dream, Susan is provoked by two subconscious allies, "Him" and "Her", who embody her deepest desires, anxieties, and fears as she struggles to come to terms with how far she has allowed her life to spiral out of control under the pressures of being the sole caregiver to her aging Mother. With the help of her two allies, Susan must learn to prioritize herself once again in order to actualize the life she truly wants - and all before she wakes up!
Susan's Dream Date is a two-act, sung-through musical for three actors (SUSAN, HIM, HER).
